evaluating the third-generation Q3 for the local market. As one of Audi’s most accessible SUVs in India, the Q3 plays a key role in the brand’s lineup. For India, Audi is expected to continue with petrol-only powertrains. The familiar 2.0-litre TFSI turbo-petrol engine is likely to return, possibly with updated tuning to meet future emission norms. A 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and quattro all-wheel drive (AWD) could remain available on higher trims.
Talking about the global model, the petrol range begins with a 1.5-litre TFSI engine producing 148bhp. Then, there is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder variant that puts out 261bhp and 400Nm of torque. For those who want diesel option, there is a 2.0-litre TDI generating 148bhp and 360Nm, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic and front-wheel drive setup. There is also an e-hybrid option, which combines a petrol engine with an electric motor to churn out 268bhp and 400Nm. It houses a 25.7kWh battery.
