What Is The Ather Infinity Cruise?
Infinite Cruise is Ather Energy's advanced cruise control system, offering unique functionalities better suited to Indian riding conditions. It is touted to be better suited for everyday scenarios when compared to conventional cruise controls found in competitors. It primarily features three distinct modes: CityCruise, Hill Control, and Crawl Control.
Infinite Cruise Riding Experience:
1. CityCruise:
In CityCruise mode, the function can be activated by the rider across different speeds from as low as 20 kmph to up to 90 kmph on highways. The party trick is when the rider modulates the speed by applying the brake or twisting the throttle, the CityCruise mode adjusts to the new speed and adapts to it for a seamless cruising experience.
2. Hill Control:
The Hill Control mode helps riders manage inclines effortlessly as the scooter delivers better torque to navigate uphill. In a downhill situation, the mode activated Ather's Magic Braking Algorithm for better control during downhill descent, helping maintain a consistent speed via the scooter's regenerative braking instead of manual braking.
3. Crawl Control:
The third mode, called Crawl Control, is designed to assist a rider over rough and uneven roads where speeds drop below 10 kmph. The function ensures smooth low-speed navigation and is also assisted with enhanced traction control for stability over slippery surfaces.
When Will Infinite Cruise Roll Out?
Ather's Infinite Cruise feature has been announced to roll out with its 2025 450 Apex electric scooter in the coming few months. Once available, it will act as a differentiator for buyers to consider who are looking to buy an electric scooter.
As of now, it is unclear will offer the Infinite Cruise feature as an add-on or standard equipment on the 450 Apex higher trims. Pricing details are also unknown until the official roll out.
