What is the story about?

The dream of owning a Ducati just got more expensive as after the latest GST revision, all motorcycles above 350cc now attract a 40% tax, and since every
Ducati sold in India falls into that category, the prices across this Italian brand’s entire line-up have jumped by as much as Rs 2.80 lakh.
What’s changed?
- Ducati sells over 20 models in India, and each one has been affected.
- The entry-level Scrambler Icon Dark, which was once considered the “easiest entry” into the Ducati world, is now priced at Rs 10.65 lakh, crossing the Rs 10 lakh barrier for the first time in India.
- Popular models like the Streetfighter V2, which is soon to be replaced by a new generation and the DesertX adventure bike are now nudging close to the Rs 20 lakh mark.
- Bikes like the Panigale V4 and Multistrada V4 are now above Rs 40 lakh price tag.
- The most expensive Ducati in India today is the Multistrada V4 RS, now has a price tag of Rs 43.46 lakh.

Ducati recently revealed the Panigale V4 R, a special racing homologation model with a 998cc V4 engine.
