It is a good time to be an SUV buyer as multiple launches have taken place in the mid-sized segment over the last few months. The latest to join the bandwagon

The 2026 Kia Seltos will be officially launched in India on January 2, 2026. This means that the brand will announce the complete price list for all 9 trim levels with the engine options and transmission combinations. Customers interested in the SUV can book a vehicle for the token amount of Rs 25,000 and Kia is expected to begin deliveries of the new Seltos by mid-January 2026.
Between its 9 trim levels, the new Kia Seltos is being offered in two petrol and one diesel engine option. The petrol engines are being offered with a 6-speed manual and both a CVT and a 7-speed DCT automatic transmission. The diesel engine also offers the option of a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
The new-generation Seltos has been completely redesigned and gets a fresh front fascia and a more upright stance. The LED headlamp and connected taillamp design has also been refreshed with an all-new design. Inside the new Seltos, Kia has done a complete rework of the dashboard, which gets dual 12.3-inch screens with an additional 5-inch touch panel for air-con controls.
While Kia India has not officially announced the prices for the 2026 Seltos, we expect the SUV to be priced between Rs 12 lakh to Rs 20 lakh ex-showroom price bracket. This would ensure that the Seltos continues to put up a strong fight against its rivals in the mid-sized SUV segment. The new Seltos also comes at a time when new entrants like the Tata Sierra are arriving in a bid to capture their share of the segment.
