For Indian buyers tracking Audi's EV strategy, the A2 e-tron signals where the brand's compact electric technology is headed even if this specific car currently stays limited to European order books opening September 10, with deliveries from December 2026. Prices in Germany start at 38,200 EUR, roughly Rs 41.92 lakh at current exchange rates for the entry-level 125kW variant.

Audi offers the A2 e-tron across four power outputs and three battery sizes, letting buyers pick the combination that suits their range needs. The entry-level variant makes 167.6hp and 350Nm from a 52kWh LFP battery, good for up to 423km while the range-topping 228hp version pairs an 84kWh NMC battery with a claimed 646km range, the longest in the lineup.A separate 321.8hp performance variant produces 545Nm and hits 100kmph in 5.7 seconds though its own WLTP range tops out at 630km, slightly short of the 228hp model's figure. DC fast charging ranges from 100kW on the smallest battery to 183kW on the largest, adding 10-80% charge in 24 to 29 minutes depending on variant.

On design, Audi claims a drag coefficient of 0.24, the best in its compact lineup, achieved through a controllable cooling-air intake, a largely enclosed underbody and aerodynamically shaped wheel-arch trims called gap reducers. The car also introduces the Fidlock magnetic fastening system as standard, letting owners click accessories like cupholders and charging-cable bags into place, a feature Audi says is a first for any premium carmaker.
