To mark the 20th anniversary of its Sant'Agata Bolognese design department, Lamborghini recently launched its new Fenomeno supercar in August 2025. Limited
to just 29 cars, the Fenomeno is Lamborghini's fastest-ever supercar capable of going 0-100 kmph in just 2.4 seconds and 0-200 kmph in 6.7 seconds. For a vehicle to be capable of such rapid acceleration, the tyres need to be capable of absorbing all that force and velocity as well. That is exactly why the Fenomeno comes with custom-built tyres and here's everything you need to know about them. Also Read: With 3 Million EVs Sold Worldwide, Is BMW Now King Of Luxury Electrics?
Lamborghini Fenomeno's custom tyre:
Bridgestone, being Lamborghini's official technical partner, was given the responsibility of building a custom range of tyres needed for the 1,080 hp supercar. For this purpose, Bridgestone leveraged its iconic Potenza family of tyres as the foundation and began work on the custom Potenza Sport ultra high-performance line.

They had to develop the tyre in two different sizes to accommodate the Fenomeno. At the front, it gets a 265/30 ZRF21 (21-inch) tyre and at the rear, it gets a 355/25 ZRF22 (22-inch) tyre as standard. Customers can also opt for a set of high-grip, semi-slick tyres from Bridgestone for track use. However, the track-oriented tyres are downsized to 20-inch on the front and 21-inch at the back to unlock the car's full potential.
In Addition to the custom job, Bridgestone has also incorporated its Run Flat Technology into the Fenomeno-specific Potenza Sport tyres. This enables the vehicle to run for 80 kilometres at speeds of up to 80 kmph without any air pressure.
Fenomeno's Tyres Are Custom-Made And Eco-Friendly:
With all that effort put into the tyres of a limited-edition Lamborghini, one would think that Bridgestone must have undergone years of research and development but that was not the case.

Apart from tapping into its decades-long motorsport legacy, Bridgestone also leveraged its Virtual Tyre Development (VTD) Technology. This process reduces development time and increases the sustainability of the entire process through an augmented design process. According to Bridgestone, the process eliminates the need for 200 physical prototypes, slashes physical tests by 80 percent and drops development time by 50 percent.
So that was a quick explainer on the custom tyres that are part of the story behind the Lamborghini Fenomeno's phenomenal performance figures.
