Kia has officially launched the Syros EV in India starting at Rs 13.49 lakh and going up to Rs 19.99 lakh. Both prices are ex-showroom figures. This latest
launch brings brand's most affordable electric vehicle to the Indian market though still pricier than a direct rival like the Tata Nexon EV. A Battery-as-a-Service option is also available, starting at Rs 7.99 lakh plus Rs 3.3 per kilometre for battery usage which gives buyers a lower-upfront-cost route into the car. This matters because the Syros EV is Kia's second mass-market EV after the Carens Clavis and its pricing directly shapes how it stacks up against India's established electric SUVs. Kia Syros EV: Range Details
The Syros EV comes with two battery options: a 42kWh pack delivering 443 km of range and 135 hp and a larger 51.4kWh pack offering a segment-leading 526 km and 171 hp with the bigger battery also managing 0-100 kmph in 8.1 seconds. Both use the same 255 Nm torque figure regardless of battery size. Charging is identical across variants too with DC fast charging taking roughly 39 minutes for a 10-80% top-up.
Is It Worth The Premium?
Since Kia is pricing the Syros EV above the Nexon EV and XUV 3XO EV, buyers need to weigh that gap against what they're actually getting. Even the base variant comes with dual 12.3-inch screens, wireless Android Auto and CarPlay and 25 standard safety features including 6 airbags.Higher trims add a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, an 8-speaker Harman Kardon system and exclusively on the range-topping X-Line, Level 2 ADAS with 16 autonomous features.
