The Skoda Slavia, which currently stands as the second-best-selling sedan in its segment, has been spotted testing in facelifted form ahead of its expected
2026 launch. Even under camouflage, the Slavia’s familiar coupe-like silhouette is clearly visible. Its long bonnet, sloping roofline and balanced proportions remain unchanged and this confirms that the update will be more cosmetic than structural, aimed at modernising the sedan rather than reinventing it. As the spy shots suggest, at the front will be subtle but noticeable changes, but the signature Skoda grille continues, but the headlamps and LED daytime running lights appear to have a revised design. The fog lamp housings also look reshaped, while the lower grille now seems to feature a 3D-patterned finish in piano black, adding a more premium touch to the face. Key elements like the blacked-out B-pillars, dual-tone ORVMs with indicators and clean door handles remain untouched. At the rear, the tail lamps are likely to get refreshed internals, along with slight bumper revisions. However, the boot lid shape and number plate placement are expected to be the same. One of the most important updates could be in the safety, as the current Slavia already boasts a 5-star Global NCAP safety rating, but the facelift is expected to go even further by introducing Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems). ADAS has smart safety features that assist the driver, such as lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, forward collision warning, driver attention alert, safe exit warning and automatic high beam assist. Skoda is expected to retain the current, proven engine options, as these include the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 115 hp, available with manual and automatic gearboxes, and the more powerful 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine delivering 150 hp, paired with a quick-shifting DSG automatic. Overall, the 2026 Skoda Slavia facelift looks set to build on the sedan’s strong foundation with sharper styling, more technology and enhanced safety.
