Tata Punch EV starts from Rs 9.69 lakh (ex-showroom) and has quickly become one of the more visible electric SUVs in Indian cities. Buyers get multiple battery options, while higher variants claim MIDC-certified range figures exceeding 400 km. The Punch EV also benefits from SUV-like ground clearance and upright seating, which matters on Indian roads. For buyers shifting from compact petrol hatchbacks, it still feels familiar enough to use daily without major adjustment.
MG Windsor EV
MG Windsor EV, priced from Rs 14.09 lakh (ex-showroom), approaches the EV market differently. Instead of focusing heavily on sporty styling, the Windsor prioritises cabin space and comfort-oriented family usage. MG claims range figures above 300 km depending on the variant. The larger cabin and relaxed rear-seat experience make it more suitable for buyers regularly travelling with family members instead of using the car purely for solo commuting.
Tata Tiago EV
Starting at Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the Tata Tiago EV remains one of the most accessible electric cars currently available in India. Depending on the battery pack, Tata claims range figures reaching around 315 km. And honestly, one reason the Tiago EV works well is because it doesn’t feel overly complicated. Buyers moving from petrol hatchbacks still get a fairly conventional driving and ownership experience, just with much lower running costs for city usage.
MG Comet EV
MG Comet EV starts from Rs 7.63 lakh (ex-showroom) and is clearly designed around dense urban traffic conditions. MG claims a range figure of up to 230 km, which is usually sufficient for shorter city commutes. The compact dimensions become especially useful in crowded cities where parking space remains a constant problem.
