Porsche has confirmed it will debut an updated 911 at the Munich Auto Show on September 7, 2025, releasing teaser images that hint at the changes to come.
The images show a camouflaged coupe with a large rear spoiler and revised front bumper, pointing to a refreshed Turbo and Turbo S variant.
The biggest update is expected to be under the hood. Porsche is preparing to introduce a hybrid powertrain to its 911 Turbo range for the first time. Reports state that the system could deliver up to 700 hp, a significant jump over today’s Turbo (572 hp) and Turbo S (640 hp), both of which use a twin-turbocharged 3.7-litre flat-six.
The addition of electric assistance is expected not only to boost output but also to sharpen response and reduce turbo lag, helping the facelifted models cut down sprint times. The current Turbo accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 2.7 seconds with the Sport Chrono Package, a benchmark the new versions are likely to better.

Alongside the powertrain changes, the facelift will likely bring several design revisions. Updates to the lighting, rear bumper, and exhaust outlets are expected, while inside the cabin, Porsche will likely introduce a 12.6-inch fully digital instrument cluster, a 10.9-inch infotainment screen, and a new starter button. These upgrades align with changes already seen on the refreshed 911 GTS earlier this year.
The Turbo S is set to follow the GTS in adopting a hybrid powertrain, a move that keeps the 911 relevant while preserving its reputation as one of the fastest all-around sports cars available. With the Munich premiere approaching, Porsche is keeping full specifications under wraps, for now.
