If you have been looking for Suzuki’s legendary Hayabusa in India, there’s a big change in the prices you should know. Following the recent GST 2.0 tax
regime, the Hayabusa’s price has jumped by Rs 1.16 lakh, moving from Rs 16.90 lakh to Rs 18.06 lakh (ex-showroom). Suzuki’s big bike lineup in India has sleeked down after the Katana was discontinued and now, it includes the Hayabusa, V-Strom 800DE, and GSX-8R, all of which are affected by the revised GST rates. Among all of them, the Hayabusa has felt the most impact. Despite this, it remains a bestseller, as according to last year's sales data 511 units were sold in FY2025, which makes it the top-selling bike in the 1,000-1,600cc segment in India. The Hayabusa also dominates this segment with a 57% market share and consumer interest, highlighting its popularity among premium motorcycle enthusiasts.
Here is the price list:
MODEL |
PRICE HIKE |
OLD PRICE (EX-SHOWROOM) |
NEW PRICE (EX-SHOWROOM) |
GSX-8R | Rs 64,000 | Rs 9.25 lakh | Rs 9.89 lakh |
V-Strom 800DE | Rs 71,000 | Rs 10.30 lakh | Rs 11.01 lakh |
Hayabusa | Rs 1.16 lakh | Rs 16.90 lakh | Rs 18.06 lakh |
The other two Suzuki big bikes have also seen price hikes, though less than the Hayabusa’s. The adventure-focused V-Strom 800DE is now priced at Rs 11.01 lakh, up by Rs 71,000, while the GSX-8R has increased the price by Rs 64,000 to Rs 9.89 lakh. Earlier this year, all three bikes were updated to meet the On-Board Diagnostics IIB (OBD2B) emissions norms, however those updates didn’t affect their prices.

Suzuki has passed on the GST benefit for motorcycles under 350cc, which makes some models cheaper. So, while premium big bikes like the Hayabusa are a bit costlier now, smaller bikes from Suzuki are more affordable for everyday commutes. With this latest update, the Hayabusa has become an even more expensive dream bike for enthusiasts in India, combining speed, style, and a rich legacy, now at a higher price tag.
