Toyota Kirloskar Motor has issued a voluntary recall for select units of the Toyota Camry, Vellfire, and Land Cruiser in India. The recall applies to 4,863
vehicles manufactured across different production periods and currently on Indian roads. According to the company, the affected vehicles may have an issue related to the parking assist control software, which could prevent the rear camera feed or parking assist view from displaying correctly on the screen when reversing. Toyota has stated that while the issue does not impact mechanical performance or driving safety in normal conditions, the recall has been initiated as a preventive safety and customer confidence measure. Toyota India Recall: Which Models Are Affected?
The latest recall from Toyota India covers:- Toyota Camry units manufactured over recent production cycles.

The issue is linked to the software governing the vehicle’s parking assist and reverse camera display. Toyota has emphasised that, in certain situations, this could reduce rear visibility for the driver, making the update necessary.

The problem is software-related and does not require mechanical part replacement. Toyota dealerships will update the parking assist ECU software on the affected cars. Moreover, the process will be carried out free of cost. Owners will be contacted directly by authorised Toyota service centres.Customers can also check recall eligibility by entering their Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on Toyota India’s official website or by contacting customer support. The software update is expected to take under an hour, depending on service centre workflow.
