
TVS Motor Company has recorded its best-ever monthly sales in August 2025, totalling more than 5.09 lakh units. This impressive figure indicates a sales surge
of 30% over about 3.92 lakh units sold in the corresponding month last year. It also marks the first time TVS has crossed the five lakh unit milestone within just one month to prove a strong footprint that the company commands not only at home but overseas as well. Two-Wheeler Sales Growth
Two-wheeler sales grew by 30% from over 3.78 lakh units in August 2024 to roughly 4.91 lakh units in August 2025. Domestic two-wheeler sales rose by 28% to stand at around 3.69 lakh units. Moreover, Motorcycles recorded a massive increase of up to 2.22 lakh units from last year’s figure of over 1.70 lakh units. Scooters posted strong growth as well, selling a total of over 2.22 lakh units, signalling a sales growth of 36%.Electric Vehicle Performance
Electric vehicle (EV) sales stood at 25,138 units in August 2025, against 24,779 units sold over the corresponding period of the previous year. The company continues to face challenges with regard to the supply of magnets but maintains a strong electric scooter order book. In fact, with the recent launch of its more affordable EV, the Orbiter, we can expect a significant sales increase in the coming months.International and Three-Wheeler Sales
Exports have increased by 35% from 99,976 units in August 2024 to approximately 1.35 lakh units this year. Two-wheeler exports rose by 36% and accounted for almost 1.22 lakh units.
