What is the story about?
Anyone planning to buy a Maruti Suzuki Nexa car this month will probably notice one thing the moment they walk into a showroom - discounts are everywhere
right now. From smaller cars like the Ignis and Baleno to bigger models like the Grand Vitara and Invicto, May 2026 schemes cover almost the entire Nexa lineup. Some offers are simple cash discounts, while others combine exchange bonuses, scrappage support as well as warranty packages. And on certain models, the overall savings have become large enough to genuinely affect buying decisions instead of just sounding good in advertisements.
Baleno, Fronx And Ignis Buyers Are Getting Decent Savings
Maruti Suzuki Baleno gets fairly straightforward offers this month. Petrol versions currently receive Rs 15,000 cash discounts, while CNG variants get Rs 10,000. Buyers can also choose either a Rs 15,000 exchange bonus or a Rs 25,000 scrappage benefit depending on what applies to them. The Fronx is slightly more selective. Turbo-petrol versions get Rs 10,000 cash discounts along with exchange benefits of Rs 10,000 or scrappage support up to Rs 15,000. But non-turbo variants don’t currently receive direct cash offers. That’s something buyers should pay attention to because many people walk into dealerships assuming every version gets the same scheme. Right now, that’s clearly not the case.
Then there’s the Ignis, which quietly continues getting some of the stronger discounts in the Nexa range. Official schemes stand at Rs 50,000, although some dealerships may push the numbers higher depending on stock and manufacturing dates. This “stock-dependent” part matters now more than before. Dealers are increasingly trying to clear specific inventory batches rather than offering blanket discounts across all variants equally.

The Real Big Discounts Are On Grand Vitara And Invicto
This is where the numbers start becoming much larger. The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara Smart Hybrid gets cash discounts of up to Rs 25,000 on Sigma and Delta trims. CNG variants get Rs 20,000 benefits, while higher Zeta and Alpha versions also include a five-year warranty package. Then come the additional schemes. Exchange bonuses can go up to Rs 30,000, scrappage benefits reach Rs 45,000 and selected old Maruti owners may qualify for another Rs 20,000 as an upgrade bonus. The Strong Hybrid version gets even bigger support. Depending on the city, buyers can save up to Rs 1.85 lakh through zero road tax benefits alone. Add the Rs 50,000 exchange offer, Rs 65,000 scrappage support and Rs 30,000 upgrade bonus and the final difference becomes substantial. The Invicto currently carries the largest overall benefits in the Nexa lineup.
There’s a Rs 50,000 consumer offer, exchange bonus of Rs 1 lakh and scrappage support touching Rs 1.15 lakh. Certain buyers can also receive another Rs 50,000 as an upgrade bonus. Realistically, these schemes matter most for people who were already planning to buy. Because once dealer-level offers, exchange value and scrappage support get combined together, the actual on-road difference can end up being much larger than the headline cash discount buyers first notice.
