What is the story about?
Maruti Suzuki's Arena showrooms are offering discounts of up to Rs 90,000 this July with the Victoris Strong Hybrid getting the largest combined benefit
and models like the Brezza, Swift as well as WagonR carrying smaller, model-specific offers on top of standard exchange bonuses. These discounts run only through July, apply to select variants and select cities and combine cash discounts, exchange or scrappage bonuses and corporate discounts differently for each model, so the actual saving depends heavily on which car and variant you're buying. Here's exactly what each of these popular models offers this month and how to work out your real discount before visiting a dealership.
Victoris Strong Hybrid with Maximum Savings
The Victoris Strong Hybrid is the standout offer this July with Maruti advertising overall benefits of up to Rs 90,000 on the variant. This is the largest of any model in the current Arena lineup. The regular Victoris Smart Hybrid gets a separate structure instead: an exchange bonus of Rs 50,000 on CNG variants or Rs 30,000 on other variants plus a Rs 10,000 corporate discount with an additional Rs 10,000 exchange or Rs 20,000 scrappage bonus layered on top depending on eligibility.Buyers should ask their dealer to break down exactly which components apply to their specific variant and city since these bonuses don't always stack the same way for every buyer.
What Brezza, Swift and WagonR actually offer
The Brezza petrol gets a Rs 25,000 cash discount, combined with up to Rs 20,000 in exchange benefits or a Rs 25,000 scrappage bonus plus a Rs 5,000 corporate discount, adding up to a maximum of roughly Rs 55,000 for an eligible buyer stacking all three. The WagonR offers a flat Rs 25,000 cash discount alongside Rs 15,000 in exchange benefits or Rs 25,000 for scrappage plus a Rs 2,500 corporate discount. This totals to around Rs 52,500 at best.
The Swift's cash discount differs by transmission at Rs 10,000 for the manual and Rs 15,000 for the AGS automatic on top of up to Rs 20,000 exchange or Rs 25,000 scrappage benefits and a Rs 5,000 corporate discount, taking the AGS variant's maximum to around Rs 45,000. The Dzire and Ertiga carry no discounts this month.
Every one of these figures assumes a buyer qualifies for the highest applicable exchange or scrappage bonus and the corporate discount simultaneously, which not everyone will. Since these offers apply only to select variants in select cities, buyers should get a written, variant-specific quote from their local dealership instead of assuming the maximum advertised figure for any model applies automatically to their purchase.
