What is the story about?
In the remaining months of 2025, we are set to witness an exciting flood of launches in the Indian car market, ranging from electric SUVs to compact crossovers.
The most anticipated among these will be the Tata Sierra EV, closely followed by the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara and Escudo. The Venue is set to be renewed in a new generation, while VinFast of Vietnam is preparing to enter the Indian market with the VF 6 and VF 7 electric SUVs. Maruti Suzuki is going to launch its͏ first EV, the e Vitara, on September 3, 2025. This electric SUV is going to be sold with two battery options: 49 kWh and 61 kWh. It will be able to cover the range of nearly 500 kilometres in both FWD and AWD variants. Another major highlight is the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Escudo, a compact SUV that will enter the fray for global and Indian markets. Tata Sierra

The Sierra EV features stunning looks, a triple-screen dashboard as well as engine options of 1.5-litre turbo-petrol, diesel, or an electric powertrain.
