Mahindra Vision.T Concept: A Familiar, Rugged Silhouette
Teaser visuals imply a boxy profile with flared wheel arches, bonnet latches holding down rugged tyres, and a spare wheel fixed to the tailgate, all synonymous with the Thar. Apart from this, it would seem that there are also going to be vertical taillight stacks, door mounted mirrors, and an eccentric front grille worked along vertical detailed headlamps-features that resonate both Thar.e concept shown in 2023 and the Thar Roxx.Mahindra Vision.T Concept: Riding On The New NU Platform
The Vision.T is most likely going to be built on Mahindra’s soon-to-be-launched “NU” platform, which is a flexible architecture that can house petrol, diesel, hybrid, and fully electric powertrains. Mahindra has not confirmed technical details, but it is expected that the new model will carry a twin-motor all-wheel drive setup and five-door body style for added practicality to further enhance the brand’s pledge of making the Thar more versatile while keeping its strong off-road capabilities. Mahindra’s teaser strategy suggests that the Vision.T may be more than just a design exercise. With its production-friendly styling and strategic timing, it appears to be closer to reality than many other concepts. However, we will only know for sure on August 15, when Mahindra officially unveils the vehicle.Should the Vision.T actually be the electric Thar, it would mark a great occasion by merging one of India’s most famed 4x4 cars with the benefits and viability aspects of electric mobility.
