MG Motor India has been working on a facelift model of the Hector SUV. Times Now Auto had confirmed the same on December 1, after we accessed visuals of a test
mule car spotted on the roads. With action in the mid-sized SUV market heating, an update to the Hector makes sense, as it has been largely unchanged since its launch in 2019. Here are five updates based on market demand and test mule visuals that you can expect from the new MG Hector SUV. Updated Exterior Design In MG Hector Facelift -
The MG Hector's exterior design will be the first big change that we will get to see on the facelift version. The most likely changes will include a refreshed design for the front and rear bumper. The large front grille will also be updated to look different from the earlier version, along with slight updates to the LED headlamp, taillamp and DRLs.
New Tech update Inside The MG Hector Facelift Cabin -
The other big difference that we can expect in the MG Hector facelift is a significant upgrade in the tech features list. The Hector has always been known for offering segment-leading features such as connected tech, panoramic sunroof, a large 14-inch infotainment touchscreen and more recently Level 2 ADAS. In the new facelift, we expect its roster of tech features to see new additions, such as gesture controls integrated into the touchscreen. The updated cabin design from the previous facelift is unlikely to see any major change.
Apart from these changes, we can also expect MG to introduce an all-new design for the diamond-cut alloy wheels and slightly different accents around the SUV. While the changes will be visually significant, we do not expect a major difference in pricing. The current model of the SUV has a starting price of Rs 14 lakh ex-showroom. In terms of launch date, MG Motor India is expected to do a soft launch of the Hector facelift in December 2025 or January 2026.
