Varun Dhawan is currently soaking in the praise he is getting for Border 2. However, the shooting experience was not as rosy for the actor as the reviews are now. Recently, Varun Dhawan took to his Instagram
to share how he sustained a painful injury while filming a stunt for Border 2.
Varun wrote on Instagram, “The worst injury I ever got on Border 2. I smashed my tailbone into a rock when I tried avoid banging into the camera. It was the worst pain I ever felt. O sustained a hairline fracture on the tailbone, which I feel I am still healing from. Thankful to my team for helping me continue that day I could barely walk, but we kept going. Grateful for the journey 🙏🫡”

About Border 2
Directed and co-written by Anurag Singh, Border 2 is a sequel to Border, which was directed by J.P. Dutta and remains one of the most iconic war films in Hindi cinema. Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J.P. Dutta and Nidhi Dutta, the film is backed by T-Series Films and J.P. Films.
Set again against the backdrop of the 1971 India-Pakistan war, Border 2 expands the scale of the original film. Unlike its predecessor, which focused primarily on the Indian Army, the latest film showed a multi-front war narrative, combining operations of the Indian Army, Air Force and Navy.
At the centre of it all is Sunny Deol’s Lt Col Fateh Singh Kaler, a commanding officer, mentor and emotional anchor to a group of younger soldiers played by Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty. The film also features Mona Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Anya Singh and Medha Rana in pivotal roles.
Recently, producer Bhushan Kumar confirmed that Border 3 has also been greenlit and will be made in due time.
