Taylor Swift joined the cast of Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 5 at the world premiere of the film. Not only did she walk the red carpet, but she also performed her song, I Knew It, I Knew You, at the premiere.
Toy Story 5 releases in English and Hindi in cinemas on 19th June.
The world premiere of Toy Story 5 in Los Angeles delivered a major surprise when Taylor Swift made a special appearance at the star-studded event. The global music icon not only walked the red carpet and attended the screening but also treated guests to a special live performance of her song, I Knew It, I Knew You, from the film’s soundtrack.
Videos from the premiere show Swift joining legendary composer Randy Newman on stage, where the duo performed the song together, earning a rousing response from the audience. Taylor was seen wearing a gorgeous sunshine yellow outfit and walked up the stage to perform her new song with Randy, who was on the piano. Besides singing the newly released song, Taylor also sang the franchise’s blockbuster song, You’ve Got A Friend In Me, reminding everyone that she is one of the biggest fans of the franchise.

The voice cast and filmmakers behind Disney and Pixar’s highly anticipated upcoming animated adventure “Toy Story 5,” including Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Joan Cusack, Taylor Swift (original song by), Conan O’Brien, Greta Lee, Craig Robinson, Tony Hale, Andrew Stanton (director), Kenna Harris (co-director), Lindsey Collins (producer) and Randy Newman (composer), convened at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood earlier this evening to celebrate the film’s show-stopping world premiere.
Voice cast members Scarlett Spears, Shelby Rabara, Mykal-Michelle Harris, Lori Alan, Jay Hernandez, Bonnie Hunt, Kristen Schaal, Wallace Shawn, Krys Marshall, Jeff Bergman, Blake Clark, Anna Vocino, Matty Matheson, John Ratzenberger and Melissa Villaseñor, as well as Pete Docter (executive producer, Pixar chief creative officer) and Jonas Rivera (executive producer), were also in attendance.
The toys are back in Disney and Pixar’s “Toy Story 5,” and this time it’s Toy meets Tech. Woody (voice of Tom Hanks), Buzz Lightyear (voice of Tim Allen), Jessie (voice of Joan Cusack) and the rest of the gang’s jobs are challenged when they come face-to-face with Lilypad (voice of Greta Lee), a brand-new tablet device that arrives with her own disruptive ideas about what is best for their kid, Bonnie. Will playtime ever be the same?
Toy Story 5 is directed by Academy Award winner Andrew Stanton, produced by Lindsey Collins and features an original score by Academy Award winner Randy Newman who returns to score his fifth “Toy Story” feature. The film releases exclusively in theatres in India on 19th June 2026 in English and Hindi.
