Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s lavish New York wedding may already be one of pop culture’s biggest events of the year, but Swifties are now obsessing over a tiny romantic detail hidden inside the couple’s
wedding favours — and it comes straight out of Blank Space.
The couple tied the knot at Madison Square Garden on July 3 in a star-studded ceremony attended by Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper, Jack Antonoff and other close friends. From custom Christian Dior Haute Couture outfits to diamond-studded gifts for guests, the wedding looked straight out of a celebrity fairytale. But it was a handkerchief shared online by singer Maren Morris that truly sent the internet into meltdown.
Morris posted a close-up image of the wedding favour on Instagram featuring an elegant embroidered handkerchief with lace edges, the couple’s “TT” monogram and the words: “So it’s gonna be forever…” — a direct lyric from Swift’s 2014 smash hit Blank Space.
Naturally, Swift fans immediately connected the dots. The song, once seen as Swift playfully reclaiming her “serial dater” media narrative, has now unexpectedly become part of her real-life love story with Kelce. Morris added another Swift nod in her caption, writing: “Baby, just say yes,” referencing Love Story, one of the singer’s most iconic romantic tracks.
The detail feels even more personal because Travis Kelce himself has publicly admitted that Blank Space is one of his favourite Taylor Swift songs. During past interviews, the NFL star also praised Swift for staying “genuine” despite global fame, saying her grounded nature was what made him fall for her.
And the romance didn’t stop at embroidered lyrics. According to reports, guests at the wedding received luxurious black velvet gift boxes engraved with the couple’s initials. Page Six reported that the boxes allegedly contained diamond-encrusted champagne flutes along with photographs from Kelce’s elaborate garden proposal setup.
Outside Madison Square Garden, giant jumbotrons reportedly flashed “JUST&T Married” as fans gathered outside the venue. Meanwhile, Dior confirmed that both Swift and Kelce wore custom couture looks designed in close collaboration with Jonathan Anderson and the House of Dior in Paris.
From hidden song lyrics to personalised luxury gifts, Taylor and Travis’s wedding appears to have been designed like a real-life Easter egg hunt for Swifties — and the internet cannot get enough of it.
