The Maddock Horror Comedy Universe (MHCU) has brought two powerful actors together, Ayushmann Khurrana as the vampire Thamma and Varun Dhawan as Bhediya. Their on screen clash in Thamma became one of the film’s
biggest talking points. Following the success, Ayushmann has opened up about the idea of a possible Thamma vs Bhediya spinoff and shared his thoughts on the film’s future. He said taking this universe ahead isn’t simple, but the love his character has received gives him hope.
Calling it a new chapter with new characters, Ayushmann said the real fun begins when different heroes cross paths again. He praised Varun for their fight scene and hinted that a rematch is needed. Ayushmann called Stree 2’s character Sarkata the most dangerous villain yet and revealed his wish to reunite with his real life brother Aparshakti Khurana in upcoming films.
Ayushmann Khurrana Hints At Thamma vs Bhediya Spinoff
Speaking about the crossover with Pinkvilla, Ayushmann Khurrana said, “It’s not that easy to take this universe forward. But having said that, the kind of love Thamma has received is quite commendable. Because this is a new chapter, a new character has been introduced and how this universe will move forward in the future, let’s see. The most exciting part will be when different characters cross each other’s paths. That will be very interesting. There definitely should be Bhediya vs Thamma again, that was a highlight of the film.
“For me, Sarkata is a super villain, the most dangerous one, who completely lifted Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s character. I really want to meet my brother Aparshakti in whatever film, in whatever capacity, in the future films of the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe,” the actor added.
Thamma Helped Ayushmann Khurrana Explore Fantasy And Action
For Ayushmann Khurrana, Thamma was a new kind of experience for him because he had mostly worked in realistic films before. This movie was full of imagination and fantasy, which helped him get more comfortable with doing action scenes. He also noticed that children have started liking him even more after this film. His earlier movies made people think, but Thamma was made for a wider audience with a fun feel.
The big fight scenes, especially between Bhediya and Thamma or the battle with Betaal, were a big hit among kids. Ayushmann felt happy that through this film, he was able to connect with the younger generation who loved the action and adventure in the story.
Thamma Box Office
