Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off three brand-new Vande Bharat Express trains on August 10 (Sunday).
These semi-high-speed trains will connect key regions across India, making travel faster and
more convenient for thousands of passengers.
Which Routes Will Get the New Trains?
The three new Vande Bharat routes are:
- Belagavi to Bengaluru (and back)
- Ajni (Nagpur) to Pune (and back)
- Amritsar to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra (and back)
This move is aimed at boosting connectivity and easing travel across Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Jammu & Kashmir.
What Are the Timings?
As per Deccan Herald, this new service is a big win for North Karnataka. It will depart Belagavi at 5:20 am and reach Bengaluru by 1:50 pm. The return trip leaves Bengaluru at 2:20 pm and arrives back in Belagavi at 10:40 pm. This route will benefit key cities like Tumakuru, Davanagere, Haveri, Hubballi, and Dharwad.
What’s Happening in Maharashtra?
The Ajni (Nagpur) to Pune Vande Bharat Express has received official approval. Planning is already underway, and the train is expected to begin operations within a month.
As per Hindustan Times, Railway officials are currently conducting route inspections and technical assessments. Once the survey is complete, a detailed schedule will be announced.
The demand for a Vande Bharat on this route had been pending for over two years, especially from passengers travelling to Akola, Amravati, and other northeastern parts of Maharashtra.
