Mouni Roy has finally reacted to her divorce rumours with husband Suraj Nambiar. On Wednesday, the Brahmastra actress took to the stories section of her Instagram handle and urged everyone not to spread
‘false narratives’. While Mouni did not confirm if she and Suraj are heading for a separation, she sought privacy from everyone.
“Humbly requesting all the media houses to not publish false narrative and give us space and privacy. Please,” she wrote.
Mouni Roy and Suraj Nambiar got married in Goa on January 27, 2022. The couple had both Malayali and Bengali wedding ceremonies and shared several photos and videos from their big day online. Their wedding pictures received a lot of love from fans and celebrities.
Over the years, Mouni and Suraj were often seen together during holidays and public events. However, their recent Instagram activity sparked speculation about their marriage. On Tuesday, netizens noticed that the two not only unfollowed each other but also deleted their wedding photos from the platform.
Later, ABP News’ Saas Bahu Aur Saazish claimed that Mouni and Suraj have already separated and are not living together. The report claimed that Suraj ‘cheated’ Mouni to gain fame and also ‘used her money’ during their relationship. Who Is Suraj Nambiar?
Suraj is a Dubai-based investment banker. He completed his B.Tech in Civil Engineering from R. V College of Engineering. Later, the banker went on to study Investment Science and International Management at Stanford University.
Mouni’s husband worked as an intern in Ashoka India for four months before he got a job as a lead in engineering and business development at Invicus. At the time of their marriage in 2022, Suraj was the Director head of the Capital Markets in the UAE. Reportedly, Suraj’s net worth is approximately ₹50 crore to ₹60 crore.
