Singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh is gearing up for the release of his new film Border 2, directed by Anurag Singh. The epic action war film is set to open in the theatres on January 23, coinciding with
the Republic Day weekend. Ahead of its release, the Punjabi singer dropped a series of pictures, sparking a wave of amusement amongst the viewers.
On Instagram, Diljit Dosanjh posted a surreal picture alongside Sonam Bajwa to give a subtle hint about the release of Border 2’s second song, Ishq Da Chehra. The photos show the two stars dressed in wedding attire, apparently captured from the new song’s music video.

The singer picked a brown-hued suit, which included a jacket layered with a matching waistcoat and a white shirt. He paired it with a pair of matching pants, a tie, a red-hued turban adorned with a stunning brooch and leather shoes. As he posed for the candid pictures, Dosanjh was seen shedding pure fashion goals.
On the other hand, Sonam looked gorgeous in an embellished red ensemble teamed with golden kaleeras and traditional jewellery. She was seen exuding pure charm and elegance.
Alongside the post, Diljit also confirmed the worldwide release date for the film Border 2, and penned, “BORDER 2 Releasing Worldwide 23rd January 2026,” adding, “ISHQ DA YAARA NAAM SUNA THA, TUJHSE MILA TOH MAIN HUA ROOBAROO. SONG & VIDEO OUT NOW.”

Border 2’s Cast And Crew
The upcoming epic action war film is a sequel to J. P. Dutta’s 1997 film Border. Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J. P. Dutta and Nidhi Dutta, it stars Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty, Mona Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Anya Singh and Medha Rana in key roles.
Principal photography for the film began in early 2025, with shooting taking place in Jhansi, Madhya Pradesh, and a major portion of it at the National Defence Academy (NDA), Pune.
John Stewart Eduri composed the film’s background score, with lyrics penned by Javed Akhtar, Manoj Muntashir, Kumaar, Kausar Munir and Anurag Singh. The first single titled Ghar Kab Aaoge, sung by Sonu Nigam, Roop Kumar Rathod, Arijit Singh, Vishal Mishra, and Diljit Dosanjh, was released on January 2 2026. It was a remixed version of the iconic song, Sandese Aate Hai from the first part of the movie.
