Manish Malhotra made his debut as a film producer with Gustaakh Ishq under his production house Stage 5 and the grand premiere in Mumbai was attended by an impressive lineup of Bollywood celebrities.

event saw the film’s stars, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Vijay Varma, as well as other celebrities, gracing the red carpet. Among the star-studded attendees were icons like Rekha, Kajol and Janhvi Kapoor, adding glitz and glamour to the evening.

About Gustaakh Ishq: Plot and Cast
Apart from the leads, Vijay Varma and Fatima Sana Shaikh, the film also features veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah and Sharib Hashmi, known for his role in The Family Man. Released on November 28, 2025, the film is set in 1998 and beautifully captures the essence of love, heartbreak and redemption.
The story revolves around Nawabuddin, portrayed by Vijay Varma, a struggling printer who travels to Malerkotla to meet the reclusive poet Aziz Beg (played by Naseeruddin Shah). Nawabuddin hopes to convince Aziz to publish his literary work, but his journey takes an unexpected turn when he falls in love with Aziz’s daughter, Minni, essayed by Fatima Sana Shaikh.
The film portrays Nawabuddin’s relentless efforts to save his father’s printing press, while navigating the complexities of his relationship with Minni, which becomes entangled in misunderstandings and miscommunications.
