Months after winning hearts at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival,Ishaan Khatter, Janhvi Kapoor and Vishal Jethwa’s film Homebound is continuing with its global journey. The emotional movie is now set
to make waves at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). On Wednesday, September 10, Dharma Movies announced through a post that the leading trio of Homebound had already arrived in Canada to attend the festival and represent the film.
The post featured a picture of Ishaan, Janhvi and Vishal all dressed up for the occasion. The stars radiated charm as they posed for the camera with bright smiles on their faces, looking ready to mark yet another memorable moment in their film. The post was shared with the caption: “Reporting live from Day 1 of @tiff_net – our cast of Homebound is all set!”
Janhvi Kapoor was the picture of elegance in a chiffon saree adorned with hand-embroidered floral motifs. She paired the saree with a matching blouse and completed her look with beautiful Kashmiri earrings that added stars to her overall outfit. Ishaan Khatter, on the other hand, opted for a more experimental outfit. He wore a sleeveless shirt teamed with beige pants and stylish sunglasses. Whereas Vishal kept it formal in a classy black suit paired with a white shirt and a black bow tie.

Homebound: Plot, Cast And Crew
The drama follows the story of two friends, one a Dalit and the other a Muslim. The best friends from a North Indian village decide to join the police force to lead a dignified life. But a year goes by without the news of the exam’s result. Their bond and character are tested. The film’s storyline delves into the complexities of rural life and the socio-political struggles faced by its protagonists.
Directed by Neeraj Ghaywan, Homebound features Ishaan Khatter, Vishal Jethwa and Janhvi Kapoor. The film’s executive producers are Martin Scorsese and Pravin Khairnar, and its producers include Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Adar Poonawalla, Somen Mishra, and Marijke de Souza, among others.
