Nayanthara’s First Look From Patriot
On Sunday, the makers of Patriot dropped the intense first-look poster of Nayanthara that showcases one side of her face, while the other remains cloaked in shadow. She is seen dressed in a saree, with a sombre expression on her face that conveys the seriousness and complexity of her character. The phrase, “Dissent is patriotic,” is written on the poster. Soon after the poster was unveiled, fans expressed their excitement for the film. While one netizen commented, “Lady superstar for a reason,” another one wrote, “Nice look, ma’am.” The poster of Patriot also features a Morse code on it, and one curious fan questioned what it meant. “Morse code???” read the comment, while another fan decoded that it means, “April 23.” Although there has been no official announcement on the release date of the film, sources in the industry say that the film is likely to hit screens on April 23 this year. However, this hasn’t been officially confirmed.
Meanwhile, the action-packed teaser of Patriot was unveiled by the makers in October last year. The film is directed by Mahesh Narayanan, known for his work in Malayalam cinema. The ensemble cast of Patriot includes Mohanlal, Mammootty, Fahadh Faasil, Nayanthara, Kunchacko Boban, Darshana Rajendran, and Revathy.
The teaser of Patriot portrayed Mohanlal as Col. Rahim Naik, while Mammootty plays Dr. Daniel James. The intriguing glimpse suggested an intense narrative revolving around the two characters who ‘once controlled the country together.’
Apart from being the director of Patriot, Mahesh Narayanan also serves as the screenwriter for the film.
A few weeks ago, the makers announced that they have finished shooting for the film. “That’s a wrap. Blood, sweat, belief. #PATRIOT marches on. See you on the Big screen,” they wrote, while also sharing a BTS video from the sets featuring Mammootty, Mohanlal and others.
