KCET 2026 Registration: The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has begun the registration process for the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2026. Eligible candidates can apply through the official
website, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea, with the last date for registration set as February 17. Applicants who complete registration will be able to pay the application fee till February 18, 2026.
KCET 2026 is conducted for admission to undergraduate programmes in engineering, pharmacy, agriculture and veterinary science offered by institutions across Karnataka.
According to KEA, the entrance exam will be held on April 23 and 24, 2026. Candidates must have passed 2nd PUC or Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and secured at least 45 per cent aggregate marks to be eligible.
As per the tentative academic calendar released by KEA, the admit card is expected in the first week of April 2026. The answer key is likely to be released in early May, while the KCET 2026 result is scheduled for May 30. The counselling process is expected to begin in June 2026.

Candidates can follow these steps to submit the application form:

Step 2: Click on the KCET 2026 registration link on the homepage.
Step 3: Register using a valid email ID and mobile number.
Step 4: Log in with the generated credentials.
Step 5: Fill in the application form carefully.
Step 6: Upload scanned copies of the required documents.
Step 7: Pay the application fee online.
Step 8: Review the details, submit the form and take a printout for future reference.

In a recent decision, KEA has also announced that vacant seats under special quota categories will be converted to general merit seats in the first round of KCET 2026 counselling, if no eligible candidates are available in those categories.
Apart from constitutionally mandated reservations, KCET seats are reserved under special categories such as Sports, Ex-Servicemen, Persons with Disabilities (PwD), National Service Scheme (NSS), National Cadet Corps (NCC), and Scouts and Guides.
