In a big development in Thalapathy Vijay’s Jana Nayagan movie leak, it has now been reported that the Cyber Crime Wing has intensified its probe in the case. As reported by Gulte, police officials have
already detained ‘more than five individuals’ who were allegedly circulating the illegal link on WhatsApp and other social media platforms. Authorities are now aiming to identify and book the entire network involved in the piracy operation. Further details about the investigation are awaited.
This comes a day after the producers of Jana Nayagan also initiated legal action against the source of the leak. The legal team representing the film’s production house, KVN Productions LLP, issued a public notice warning against the circulation of any leaked content, including clips, images, or full versions of the film. The team also expressed “shock and urgency” over the breach, and warned of action if leaked scenes are downloaded, shared or reposted on any digital medium.
South Actors Come Out In Support
Several other actors, including Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Jai, Bobby Deol, GV Prakash Kumar (GVP), Khushbu Sundar, Mirnaa, Vijay Antony, Jiiva, Kavin, Vishal, Suresh Kamatchi and Sibi Sathyaraj have also expressed disappointment with the leak.
“The release of the Jananayakan film on the internet by someone has caused shock and pain. Film associations must raise their voice against this, and the government must identify those responsible and impose severe punishment. Such crimes must not be allowed to continue in the future,” Rajinikanth posted on X.
Kamal Haasan also added, “The leak of #Jananayagan is not an accident – it is the result of systemic failure. Had due process been timely, we would not be here. Inordinate delays in certification created fertile ground for piracy. When legal access is stalled, illegitimate channels take over. Piracy is beyond politics; it is an attack on the art and artist itself.”
