Alia Bhatt has reacted to Rashmika Mandanna’s Instagram post defending her marriage with Vijay Deverakonda. Rashmika penned a long note after her and Vijay’s appearance on Koffee With Karan 9, as many
social media users were trolling their marriage. Some even called Vijay a “misogynist” and a “narcissist”. Amid this, Alia’s reaction to the post has caught everyone’s attention.
Alia Bhatt dropped a ‘like’ on Rashmika’s post. Even Sidharth Malhotra, Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani ‘liked’ the post. However, Alia’s reaction caught the most eyeballs as she and her actor husband, Ranbir Kapoor, have also been subjected to similar trolling about their marriage. Social media users have also previously labelled Ranbir a “red flag” and a “misogynist” based on his interviews. Ranbir’s sister, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, has previously mentioned that the couple don’t let the trolling affect them anymore.
Meanwhile, Rashmika wrote on Instagram, “I generally don’t address these things because everyone has a right to their opinions. Sometimes, I even enjoy reading them and gaining a different perspective. But the current frenzy over our interview feels less like people having opinions and more like an angry mob looking for someone to vent at.” The actress said she is “obsessed” with her husband.
She referred to Vijay demanding that she ask to marry him a 100 times and wrote, “I would do it a thousand times. 100 is nothing. It’s really that simple. And for those who seem to be absolutely blinded by their own narratives… We have both built our lives on our own terms, with our own choices and our own hard work. We are smart, capable adults, blessed with the freedom and privilege to choose how we want to live and whom we want to share our lives with. And we chose US.”
Calling out all the women who have slammed Vijay as a “red flag”, she continued, “The ones making reels in the guise of concern for a fellow woman, asking me to run, giving me free relationship advice to protect me. Thank you. Truly. But I wish some of you had been there a couple of years ago, when things were really, really hard. You weren’t there. HE WAS, and HE IS even right now.”
“Right now, I am the happiest I have ever been. And I hope you can see that in my face, in the joy I’ve felt since getting married, in my performances, in my films, and simply in the way I live my life. I am happy. I am content. I am blessed,” the actress wrote. Rashmika further warned everyone that she wouldn’t tolerate any harsh comments about her family.
