Lemonade, lemon juice, shikanji, in India, this slightly sour, sweet and citrusy drink has several names. It is enjoyed by everyone, especially at temperatures that can reach the high 40s in the summer
across various parts of the country. Lemonade is a staple summer beverage and is even made slightly differently by every family and street vendor.
However, if you are verging on boredom with the traditional lemonade, adding different kinds of fruits to the drink can elevate it and turn it back into something exciting. One common fruit that makes for a delicious lemonade is peaches.
Peaches are a juicy, low‑calorie fruit that packs a surprising number of health benefits. They are rich in vitamins C and A, which support immunity and skin health, and contain antioxidants that help protect cells from damage. The fibre in peaches supports digestion and can help keep blood sugar more stable, while the high water content keeps you hydrated and aids in feeling full. Eating peaches regularly may also support heart health, thanks to their mix of potassium and plant compounds that can help maintain healthy blood pressure and reduce inflammation. Overall, this sweet, soft fruit is a tasty, natural way to add nutrients and freshness to your daily diet.
