A jewellery store on the outskirts of Bengaluru was robbed in broad daylight on Tuesday when armed men stormed the premises and fled with gold ornaments and cash.
The robbery took place at Ram Dev Jewellery
in Dasanapura, near the National Highway in Nelamangala, around 5.30 pm. The entire incident was captured on the shop’s CCTV cameras.

According to police, three unidentified men arrived at the store on a two-wheeler and entered the shop posing as customers. They asked to view certain earring designs and, when told the items were not available, allegedly drew a firearm and threatened the staff. The assailants are also accused of assaulting the shop attendants, scratching their faces and covering their mouths to stop them from shouting for help.
The suspects escaped with more than 30 grams of gold jewellery and Rs 50,000 in cash before anyone could intervene.
The shop belongs to Manik Ram, and at the time of the incident, it was being run by his sons, Gautham and Vishnu. Hearing her children’s screams, Ram’s wife, Shobha, rushed from a nearby store, but the robbers had already fled.
After receiving information about the incident, personnel from Madanayakanahalli police station reached the spot soonand carried out an inspection. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Bengaluru North-West) D L Nagesh also visited the scene to assess the situation.
A case of robbery has been registered, and police teams are analysing CCTV footage and working to trace and arrest the accused.
