as he was criticised and called not apt for the role. Amid this, the wife of Colonel Hoshiar Singh Dahiya, the real-life war hero Varun Dhawan portrays in the film, blessed the actor, which comes as a huge relief for him.
While videos of Colonel Hoshiar Singh Dahiya’s wife blessing Varun had already surfaced on social media, the actor himself has now shared a series of pictures meeting Dhano Devi Ji and the colonel’s entire family. Colonel Hoshiar Singh’s Wife Praised Varun Dhawan
In the video, shared by a paparazzi account on Instagram, Colonel Hoshiar Singh Dahiya’s wife was seen smiling warmly as she blessed Varun by touching his head. Praising his performance, she said, “Tumne bahot badhiya kiya hai. Bahot badhiya, shabash! Film bahot achi chalegi (You have done a great job, very good, bravo! The film is going to do really well).” Varun, visibly moved, bends down respectfully and thanks her for the gesture. About Border 2
In Border 2, Varun plays Major Hoshiar Singh Dahiya, a brave Indian Army officer and Param Vir Chakra (PVC) awardee who fought in the 1971 Indo-Pakistan War. The role marks a serious turn for the actor, placing him in a story rooted in real events and sacrifice.
The film is directed by Anurag Singh and also stars Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty. Border 2 is a follow-up to the 1997 blockbuster Border, directed by J. P. Dutta. The sequel is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J. P. Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta. Recently, the team launched the recreated song Ghar Kab Aaoge in Jaisalmer. The track has been reworked by Mithoon, with additional lyrics by Manoj Muntashir. Apart from Sonu Nigam, the song features vocals by Arijit Singh, Roop Kumar Rathod, Vishal Mishra, and Diljit Dosanjh.
