Star Indian pacer Mohammed Shami was seen bowling in full throttle during a Lucknow Super Giants net session, which left Justin Langer in awe. Bowling coach Bharat Arun positioned near the stumps tossed
the ball to Shami, who took his run-up, unleashed his fire and did what he does best, obliterated the stumps with lethal precision.
At 35, Shami last represented India in the 2025 Champions Trophy, but his hunger for a comeback was clear in the nets, where his fierce yorkers smashed and rattled the stumps.
In fact, after the net session, Langer singled out Shami for praise during the team huddle. “Your yorker, that yorker, is breathtaking,” the former can be heard saying in a clip posted by Lucknow Super Giants.

Arun moulded India’s pace attack for many years as bowling coach, guiding the team to memorable Test triumphs overseas, with Shami playing a crucial role in those successes.
“Shami and I share a special bond, and we’ve been together in the Indian team for seven years. I knew Shami even before that and so that has only strengthened our bond,” Arun had told IANS.
On paper, Lucknow Super Giants boast a formidable pace attack featuring Shami, Anrich Nortje, Mayank Yadav, Mohsin Khan, Avesh Khan, Arjun Tendulkar, Naman Tiwari, Prince Yadav and Akash Singh.
Most of the bowlers are coming into the team after recovering from injuries.
“I know that most of them are all coming from injuries, and that is why we had a pre-season camp about a month before we assembled in Lucknow and that was to assess where they were at that point in time,” Arun said.
LSG will begin their IPL 2026 campaign against the Delhi Capitals at home on April 1.
