Pakistan crushed Namibia by 102 runs in Colombo on Wednesday (February 18) to book their place in the Super 8s of the ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. Pakistan rode on Sahibzada Farhan’s maiden T20I
century (100* from 58 balls) to post a total of 199/3 in 20 overs and then bowled Namibia out for 97 runs in 17.3 overs. Mystery spinner Usman Tariq picked up four wickets for the Salman Ali Agha-led side, and Shadab Khan finished with figures of 3 for 19 in four overs. He also played a superb knock of 36 runs from 22 balls and added 81 runs from 40 balls for the fourth wicket.
With Pakistan’s entry in the Super 8s, the Super 8 line-up of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is complete.
India and Pakistan, like it was expected, qualified for the Super 8s from Group A. West Indies and England are representatives from Group C, South Africa and New Zealand from Group D, but from Group B, Zimbabwe have qualified for the Super 8s at Australia’s expense along with co-hosts Sri Lanka.
In the Super 8s, the teams are once again divided into two groups of four each, and all of them will face three matches each. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semifinals of the T20 World Cup 2026.

Mitchell Santner-led New Zealand will face Salman Ali Agha’s Pakistan in the first Super 8s match of the T20 World Cup 2026 on Saturday (February 21) in Colombo.
Pakistan, Sri Lanka, England and New Zealand will play all their Super 8 matches in Sri Lanka, whereas India’s Super 8 matches are scheduled in Ahmedabad, Chennai and Kolkata.

If Pakistan qualify for the semifinals, then their match will be played at R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on March 4; otherwise, Eden Gardens will host the first semifinal on March 4, and the second semifinal will be played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on March 5.
