Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda’s wedding may have been the moment fans waited years for, but their first appearance as husband and wife is what truly sealed the fairytale. When the two stepped
out together after their wedding, they looked beautiful and radiant. And dressing the newlyweds once again was none other than couture visionary Anamika Khanna, who also designed their wedding ensembles.
Arriving back from the scenic city of lakes, the couple, affectionately known to fans as “ViRosh”, paused to greet the waiting paparazzi. Stepping out with her signature infectious smile, Rashmika opted for a bright red anarkali, a colour deeply symbolic of marital bliss and auspiciousness. The ensemble featured intricate gold work, echoing the “sacred artistry” seen in her wedding saree, which had been adorned with temple-house motifs and antique gold embroidery. Her ensemble was the perfect blend of bridal tradition and effortless chic, complemented by a soft, natural base and a bindi that highlighted her “new bride” radiance.
Complementing Rashmika’s bold red, Vijay donned a sophisticated greyish-silver kurta pyjama set. Moving away from the vermillion and ivory palette of his Vanasingaram weave wedding attire, this metallic hue added a sharp, modern edge to his traditional look. The subtle sheen of the fabric mirrored the regal aesthetic he has going on for him.
The couple, who kept their eight-year relationship private until just days before the wedding, seemed more open than ever as they walked hand in hand through the terminal. As members of the paparazzi shouted their congratulations, the couple responded with warmth, posing for several minutes. They shared a traditional namaste with the cameras and playfully threw flying kisses to the crowd, marking a joyful start to their life as a public couple.
The Udaipur Legacy
Their first appearance follows an intimate but high-profile celebration at the ITC Mementos, Ekaaya Udaipur. The wedding had been a masterful blend of Telugu and Kodava rituals, honouring both Vijay’s heritage and Rashmika’s roots. From the “Virosh Premier League” poolside games to a traditional Kodava ceremony featuring a saree gifted by Vijay’s mother, every detail leading up to this first appearance has been a tribute to their shared history and deep cultural pride.
