Amitabh Bachchan celebrated a heartwarming Sunday, describing it as a day filled with blessings, love, and family warmth. On his personal blog, the veteran actor shared reflections on two highlights that
made the day unforgettable: meeting his fans outside Jalsa and cherishing precious moments with family.
For years, Amitabh has made it a ritual to greet his admirers, affectionately called his “well-wishers” or “Ef”, outside the gates of his Mumbai residence, Jalsa. This Sunday, he once again expressed gratitude for their unwavering affection.
“Sunday as glorious as every Sunday with the well wishers about .. the dedicated come hours before and wait in the standing .. the Ef at designated places and the rest in such grace and affection .. It be most fortunate for the likes of me to be witness to such…” wrote Big B on his blog.
The superstar shared how hundreds of fans patiently wait for hours just to catch a glimpse of him, a gesture he considers a privilege to witness every week.
Family Time: ‘The Delight of the Day’
While the love of fans brought him joy, Amitabh revealed that the highlight of his day was spending quality time with his family. Calling it the “delight of the day,” he shared how reconnecting with loved ones brought back vivid memories from the past.
“Family with Sundays is the delight of day, and many that one meets after long years bring memories of the past so vividly. Such was the night last night. Blessed are they that value the togetherness of family and their love and affection .. I rush to work .. My affection for the day,” he wrote.
Through his words, the superstar emphasised the importance of cherishing family bonds, calling it a blessing to experience such love and togetherness.
Amitabh Bachchan On The Power Of Time
Not limiting his blog to just Sunday reflections, the actor also delved into deeper thoughts about the concept of time. On August 30, Big B described time as eternal, divine and omnipotent, shaping human life in ways beyond comprehension.
“Time is the cleanser .. it be the formative element of time .. it be timeless .. constraining at times , but never without purpose .. difficult and perhaps to indulge in its understanding , but do we not all, pay obeisance to it and embrace its engagement .. And that is the making of the human,” he noted.
The superstar further said, “Time decides, dictates, confirms, conjectures and counts. And then GIVES .. Its discoverance be eternal .. at times filled with divinity .. for the strength it purports and proffers shall exhibit its feature .. I got time today .. whether it gave me all that I professed earlier is not in question .. time gives .. its giving is ours .. mine .. keep it use it throw it away as waste .. is your time (sic).”
Through his reflections, Amitabh suggested that time remains the ultimate teacher and decision-maker, offering humans opportunities, lessons and realisations, whether they seek them or not.
