among fans. The release date has not been announced. The announcement was made on social media, where the poster quickly grabbed attention for its intriguing visuals.
Taking to his Instagram handle, Mohanlal shared the poster and wrote, “Beautiful Vishu greetings to all #Athimanoharam #TharunMoorthy #Ashiqusman.” Fans reacted. Taking to his X timeline, Tharun Moorthy wrote, “When a storyteller and a legend meet again, a universe stirs. After ‘Thudarum’, I and @Mohanlal embark on another voyage, carried by the vision of Ashiq Usman Productions. Rolling Soon…” The director’s announcement has sparked huge excitement among fans, some of whom are now wondering whether the upcoming film will be a sequel to one of Tharun Moorthy’s earlier films. This is because Tharun Moorthy, on the occasion of Onam earlier this year, had announced that he was in the process of writing a sequel to one of his earlier films.
Their earlier collaboration
Tharun Moorthy and Mohanlal have worked together for Thudarum, which was a big hit. For the unaware, ‘Thudarum’ was a crime action drama that featured Mohanlal and Shobana in the lead. The first and foremost reason was that this film featured actress Shobana opposite Mohanlal after almost 19 years. Their onscreen pairing is among the most loved in Malayalam cinema. Some of the landmark films in which the two actors have been featured together include ‘Manichithrathazhu’, ‘Thenmavi Kombathu’ and ‘Mambazhakkalam’.
