A Rapido bike ride has caught social media’s attention for a sweet and unexpected reason. Taking a bike taxi is usually quick, low-cost and easy for city travel, but no rider expects a passenger to bring
their dog. In this case, a Rapido driver was surprised when a man asked to bring his pet along for the ride. The dog’s owner explained that his pet had a medical problem and needed to be taken to the doctor right away.
At first, the rider looked unsure after seeing the dog. He was worried and careful, like anyone would be. But once the owner assured him that the dog was calm and won’t bite, the driver agreed to help. He allowed both the man and his dog to sit on the bike and completed the ride safely. Viewers thanked the rider for his kindness and helpful nature.
Rapido Ride Goes Viral For Helping A Sick Dog
As soon as the Rapido rider meets the passenger and asks about his dog, the man says, “This is my dog. He’s not eating for the past one or two days, so I need to take him to the doctor.” The driver understood the problem and said that he should have booked a cab and inquired if the dog bites.
The man replied, “The dog does not bite and will not disturb during the ride. He will sit calmly, is very well behaved and won’t harm you.”
When the driver tried to touch the dog, he got scared as the dog started growling. The owner quickly reassured him that the dog will not bite or cause any trouble. Even after this moment, the Rapido rider agreed to take them to the doctor’s clinic and completed the ride.
The video posted on Instagram came with the caption, “Rapido rider turned into a dog ambulance. The customer turned out to be a dog.”

Pet Ride Services Growing In Bengaluru
According to The Hindu reports, Uber and Rapido in Bengaluru started services for travelling with pets in October 2024, and Namma Yatri followed in 2025, responding to more people asking for this option. A Rapido spokesperson said that nearly 2000 pet rides happen every day in the city. People who use these services often feel that taking a pet costs slightly more than a regular ride, which is Rs 15 to Rs 20 extra in an auto rickshaw and roughly Rs 100 to Rs 200 extra in a cab.
