Akshay Kumar, who is currently enjoying the success of his latest release, Bhooth Bangla, has reportedly decided to take a break from his hectic schedule. A fresh report suggests that the actor has undergone
eye surgery in Mumbai, and hence he will take some time out to recover before getting back to his work commitments.
According to Hindustan Times, Akshay Kumar underwent a minor surgery on May 6 in the city. A source told the portal, “It was a minor surgery which took place on the morning of May 6, Wednesday. It was for vision correction. Akshay will now take a break and recuperate since he has also finished the Keralam schedule of his next film with Anees, which also stars Vidya Balan and Raashii Khanna.”
He recently shared a picture with Vidya and Raashii from the sets of his next, helmed by Anees Bazmee, and announced the schedule wrap in Keralam. Khiladi Kumar wrote in his caption, “Keralam schedule wrapped! Nothing beats working with good people in a beautiful place. Big love to our director Anees Bazmee for the madness behind the camera and to my incredible co-stars @vidya_balan, Raashii, Chota Rajpal and the entire crew! This one’s been special.”

The untitled film will mark Akshay and Vidya’s reunion after several successful collaborations over the years. It also brings him together with Anees Bazmee after almost 15 years.
Akshay Kumar also has Priyadarshan’s Haiwaan with Saif Ali Khan, Ahmed Khan’s Welcome to the Jungle and Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal 5 in the pipeline. On the other hand, Vidya is currently enjoying the love and appreciation coming her way for Raja Shivaji, which hit theatres on May 1. Directed by Riteish Deshmukh, the film also starred Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan, Fardeen Khan, Bhagyashree and Genelia Deshmukh. It also featured Salman Khan in a special appearance.
