Nepal Flash Floods: 16 Dead, 105 Indians Missing
At least 16 people have been confirmed dead and 32 security personnel are missing after sudden flooding of the Bhote Koshi River hit Nepal’s Rasuwa on Wednesday. At least 105 Indian tourists are among 291 foreign nationals reported missing.
The missing foreign nationals include three from the US, 17 from Malaysia, 12 from the UK, four from South Africa, one from Australia and one from the Netherlands. The nationalities of 103 others are yet to be confirmed.
Meanwhile, India is preparing to send relief material to the neighbouring country. The Indian Air Force is on standby to assist Nepal in the wake of the flash floods, sources said.
