The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) has begun the registration for WBJEE counselling 2025 starting today, August 28. Eligible and interested candidates can apply for the West Bengal JEE counselling 2025 by
visiting the official website at wbjeeb.nic.in. The online registration will close on September 1, which is also the deadline for choice locking, as per the counselling schedule.
WBJEEB will release the seat allotment result for the first round on September 3, with the seat acceptance fee payment window opening the same day and closing on September 7. Selected students will have to complete the reporting and document verification between September 9 and 11.
Candidates with a rank (GMR/PMR) in WBJEE 2025 and/or JEE Main 2025 who meet the eligibility criteria stated in the information bulletin can apply for WBJEE counselling. All interested candidates must register for the first round of the counselling process. Those who do not register will not be considered for seat allotment in any round.
Before registering, students should review the WBJEE 2025 seat matrix PDF to choose their preferred colleges and programmes. The PDF lists the available seats for each course and college across all categories at the participating institutions.
The WBJEE counselling process involves several steps: registration, college and subject selection, choice locking, seat allocation, document verification, and more. Seats are allocated based on the seat matrix and the list of participating colleges, which are published on the official site.
Applicants need to pay a registration fee of Rs 500 for the seat allocation round, with an additional Rs 200 fee for the mop-up round.
A seat acceptance fee of Rs 5,000 must be paid by the prospective student to secure their desired seat or to be eligible for an upgrade. Failure to pay the fee will result in the cancellation of the assigned seat and the candidate’s exclusion from subsequent rounds.
The WBJEE 2025 exam was held on April 27 in two shifts: from 11 am to 1 pm, and from 2 pm to 4 pm. The result was announced on August 22, along with the final answer key.
