After a quirky and entertaining announcement, Aamir Khan Productions dropped the trailer of its upcoming spy comedy Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos, and it has instantly struck a chord with audiences. Directed
by and starring Vir Das, alongside Mona Singh, the film promises a laugh riot, and the trailer fully delivers on that promise. Adding even more fuel to the growing excitement was a fun video featuring Sunil Grover mimicking Aamir Khan and sharing a hilarious encounter with him. However, the BTS footage of the video is even more amusing.
Aamir Khan Productions took to social media to share a BTS video of Sunil Grover playing Aamir Khan and creating laugh-out-loud moments with both Vir Das and Aamir Khan. While the video has been doing the rounds across social media, the BTS clip is even more fun to watch, as it shows Aamir and everyone on set thoroughly enjoying Sunil Grover’s spot-on mimicry. Moreover, with the film’s promotional assets being so creative and entertaining, Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos is undoubtedly shaping up to be a bang-on entertainer to watch out for. As the makers shared the BTS video, they also wrote – “Double the Aamir, Double the masti ! ! Behind the scenes.”
This isn’t the first time Sunil’s Aamir act has gone viral. His mimicry during an episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show recently caught massive attention online. Reacting to it in an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Aamir said, “I wouldn’t even call it mimicry. It was so authentic, I felt like I was watching myself. I saw a small clip, and now I’m going to watch the whole episode.” He added, “What I saw was priceless. I was laughing so much I couldn’t breathe! There was no malice in it at all. I must have laughed the loudest.”
Aamir Khan Productions is known for films like Lagaan, Taare Zameen Par, Dangal, and Secret Superstar. Continuing that run, the banner teams up again with Vir Das for Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos. The film marks their second collaboration after Delhi Belly and is one of the most awaited projects from the studio.
Produced under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions, Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos will be directed by Vir Das and is slated to release in theatres on 16th January 2026.
