Bayern Munich have moved swiftly to kill off any talk of a Harry Kane exit, confirming they are already in negotiations to extend the striker’s contract.
According to Sky Germany and transfer insider Florian
Plettenberg, Kane is fully on board.
Sporting director Max Eberl also left little room for doubt. “We are in talks with Harry,” he said.
There are no plans to leave, no Premier League return brewing, and no temptation elsewhere. The England captain is settled in Munich and happy with the club, the fans and the city.
That stance comes amid speculation linking Kane with Barcelona and a possible reunion with Tottenham, fuelled by a €65 million release clause that becomes active in January 2026.
Bayern, however, are acting early.
Kane’s current deal runs until the summer of 2027, but discussions are already underway on an extension that would keep him at the Allianz Arena until 2028 or even 2029.
Since arriving from Spurs in 2023 for €95 million, Kane has been nothing short of prolific. The 32-year-old has scored 119 goals and delivered 30 assists in 126 appearances, establishing himself as Bayern’s attacking focal point.
This season alone, he has racked up 34 goals and four assists in 30 games, accounting for roughly a third of Bayern’s total output.
Beyond the numbers, Kane’s influence in build-up play and defensive work has only strengthened his value to the Bavarians.
While clauses in Kane’s contract technically allow for exits in future windows, the direction of travel is clear.
With major silverware within reach and Bayern eager to lock in their talisman, chasing personal records back in England appears secondary.
