A wild buffalo crashed into a bike showroom in Kerala, smashing through the glass entrance and causing heavy damage to furniture, CCTV footage showed.
According to NDTV, the incident took place at a Hero
Honda showroom in the Kuthuparamba municipality of Kannur district.
As per the timestamp on the CCTV footage, the incident occurred on Sunday, February 1, at around 8:10 am. The clip shows the uncontrolled animal charging into the showroom and breaking through the glass frontage.
The buffalo reportedly ran amok inside the showroom for a brief period, damaging several items before the situation was brought under control. No injuries were reported.
Broken Glass Scattered All Around
The buffalo reportedly left the “broken glass scattered everywhere” after it jammed into the showroom with all its weight and slipped around to ultimately hit one of the concrete walls inside. The animal somehow managed to balance itself back before moving out of the showroom premises.

Even though the animal caused no further damage, the footage took the viewers through to the broken glass scattered all over the showroom. The bikes inside the showroom also received some dents, while the condition of the furniture was also far from its pre-existing state.

Search Operation For The Animal Begins
Showroom staff reportedly fled the premises to avoid the animal. According to NDTV, the buffalo is believed to have strayed from the Kannavam forest. Following the incident, the Kerala Forest Department launched a search operation to track the animal and prevent further damage to public property or risk to civilians. Authorities are considering administering a medical sedative to calm the buffalo before safely relocating it.
