The cabin crew on an Air India flight received a delightful surprise after landing recently. It was all because of the musician Sasmit Mudra who is known for collaborating with artists like Ayushmann Khurrana,
Vishal Mishra and Jubin Nautiyal. He turned a regular post-flight moment into something heartwarming with his keyboard performance.
Before the plane touched down, he approached a crew member and said, “I will play your favourite song after landing if you guys have one minute.” The crew member immediately requested the classic Bollywood tune, Zara Zara from the 2001 film Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein, starring R Madhavan and Dia Mirza.
A Mini Concert For The Air India Crew
As the aircraft came to a halt in Mumbai, the crew gathered for the musical treat. Sasmit started playing the song on his keyboard and the crew’s reaction was priceless. Two air hostesses even recorded the moment on their phones.
After the song ended, the crew clapped and exchanged warm wishes with Sasmit.
Sharing the video on Instagram, he captioned it playfully: “Pilot: Welcome to Mumbai. Me: Welcome to my concert.”
He also added an overlay text on the footage: “After landing, everyone rushed the baggage belt like it’s a race. I stayed back and played Zara Zara. Worth missing the rush.”
The Internet Is Clapping Too
The video has gathered more than three million views so far with hundreds of social media users reacting. Even Ayushmann Khurrana dropped a like on the post.
One user commented, “This type of concert is the best one.”
Another said, “That’s amazing! Not just the concert, but also the sincere appreciation for the crew.”
“What a beautiful set of people. Wholesome moment,” someone else remarked while a person added, “Now it’s worth delaying a flight…Lots of love.”
“Flight cabin crew are always so stressed in managing people’s tantrums…this 2 mins would have definitely given them a break,” an individual pointed out.
“You really made their day after such hard work they do, really appreciate that you took some time for them,” a viewer said.
One even suggested, “This will be great onboard music in Air India.”
