Kolkata, May 5 (PTI) Kishore Datta resigned as the advocate general of West Bengal on Tuesday, an official said.
Datta, for whom this was the second occasion to serve in the post, sent in his resignation
to Governor RN Ravi, he said.
He was appointed advocate general on December 16, 2023, for a second term, following the resignation of SN Mookherjee.
Mookherjee had taken over following Datta’s first stint, which lasted from February 2017 to September 2021.
Datta was one of the five AGs of the state under the Mamata Banerjee government, with his predecessors being Anindya Mitra, Bimal Chatterjee, Jayanta Mitra and Mookherjee. PTI AMR SOM
