Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa’s romantic drama Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat continues to wow audiences with its strong performances and engaging storyline. Despite facing stiff competition from the horror-comedy
Thamma, the film has managed to maintain steady momentum at the box office.
According to data from Sacnilk, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat earned Rs 4.35 crore on its eighth day (Tuesday), bringing its total domestic collection to Rs 49.35 crore. The film recorded an overall occupancy rate of 27.80 per cent with morning shows at 12.49 per cent, afternoon shows peaking at 29.99 per cent, and evening and night shows registering 28.77 per cent and 39.94 per cent, respectively.

The Harshvardhan Rane-starrer opened to a strong start, earning Rs 9 crore on its first day. It went on to collect Rs 7.75 crore on Day 2, Rs 6 crore on Day 3, Rs 5.5 crore on Day 4, Rs 6.25 crore on Day 5, Rs 7 crore on Day 6, and Rs 3.5 crore on Day 7. Reportedly made on a budget of around Rs 25 crore, the film has already recovered more than its production cost within just eight days of release.

The plot revolves around Vikramaditya, a passionate artist who falls profoundly in love with Adaa, a free-spirited woman who views love as liberation rather than possession. What begins as an intense romance soon spirals into obsession as Vikramaditya’s insecurities take hold. Tragedy and deception ensue, transforming their love story into a poignant exploration of desire, ego, and the thin line between loyalty and lunacy. The film, set against a backdrop of music, memories, and heartache, explores how the intensity of love can both create and destroy.
Ek Deewane. Ki Deewaniyat also stars Shaad Randhawa, Sachin Khedekar, and Ananth Narayan Mahadevan. The film was once called Deewaniyat before being renamed in May of this year.
