Ishan Kishan recently showcased his lighter side as the 27-year-old watched and reacted to some of his old dressing-room clips and funny moments shared with teammates, clearly enjoying revisiting those
memories.
One such clip featuring Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill left Kishan laughing once again, proving that certain dressing-room moments remain timeless among teammates.
Talking about one of his popular videos with Gill, Kishan joked, “Jitni gandi harkate hai Gill start karta hai aur mai bas follow karta hu, Gill bichme baithne wala hai joh padhai mei bhi haath upar karega and badme last bench pe 2 hours keliye chill bhi krega. (All the mischievous stuff starts with Gill, and I just follow along. Gill is that guy who’ll sit in the middle row, raise his hand in class like the studious kid, and then chill on the last bench for two hours later.)”
When Gill Grossed Out Ishan
Kishan and Gill have often entertained fans with their playful camaraderie. One viral clip from the West Indies tour captured Gill teasing Kishan by asking, “Meri t-shirt hatake paseena chaatega (Will you take off my T-shirt and lick my sweat?)”
On hearing this, Ishan Kishan was shocked and replied, “pagal wagal hai kya? (Are you crazy?)”.
Ishan has made a remarkable comeback to India’s T20 setup with a series of impressive performances after a period away from the national side. His return gained traction in domestic cricket, where he captained Jharkhand to victory in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Kishan played a pivotal role in the final, smashing a century when it mattered most and leading his team to the title. This standout performance quickly earned him a recall to the Indian squad.
The wicketkeeper-batter carried this momentum into international cricket as well. In the recent five-match T20 series against New Zealand, Kishan scored 215 runs, finishing as the team’s second-highest run-getter behind captain Suryakumar Yadav. His biggest contribution came in the series finale in Thiruvananthapuram, where his explosive 103 helped India amass a massive total of 271 runs and he is in India’s squad for the 2026 T20 World Cup.
